journey on the <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/bbc-2\/\">BBC<\/a> One competition, after his original pro partner <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/amy-dowden\/\">Amy Dowden<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/12\/amy-dowden-teases-special-return-strictly-final-forced-step-22178585\/\">forced to step down<\/a> due to an injury.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/10\/29\/amy-dowdens-stand-in-lauren-oakley-strictlys-best-kept-secret-21884196\/\">Lauren Oakley<\/a> instead took her place, and the pair have now made it to the final, along with comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/10\/chris-mccausland-will-make-strictly-history-winning-12-year-trend-22156694\/\">Chris McCausland<\/a> and his partner Dianne Buswell, Love Island’s <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/09\/13\/strictly-2024-star-tasha-ghouris-rise-fame-dating-giovanni-pernice-21601929\/\">Tasha Ghouri<\/a> and Aljaz Skorjanec, and Miranda actress <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/07\/sarah-hadland-its-not-late-craig-show-favouritism-22141686\/\">Sarah Hadland<\/a> with reigning champ Vito Coppola.<\/p>\n<p>Having made it this far – and having topped the leaderboard again last week – it would be no surprise if JB were to lift the glitterball trophy.<\/p>\n<p>He’d be following in the footsteps of several boyband stars before him, including McFly’s <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/harry-judd\/\">Harry Judd<\/a>, who won in 2011 and was partnered with Aliona Vilani, and The Wanted’s <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/jay-mcguiness\/\">Jay McGuinness<\/a> in 2015, who was also partnered with Aliona.<\/p>\n<p>But JB could be about to beat them all and make history.<\/p>\n<figure
