After a four-year hiatus from music, Joey LaBeija<\/u><\/a> is back. The New York-based artist (and lowkey legend) returns today with \u201cless than three,\u201d his first release since 2020\u2019s enemies of progress <\/em>EP, which featured underground smashes like \u201cunavailable\u201d<\/u><\/a> and \u201ccuffin szn.\u201d While his signature pitched-down vocals are out in full force again, LaBeija arrives this time with newfound confidence, now striving for real authenticity in all his work. <\/p>\n It\u2019s fitting then that \u201cless than three\u201d is a breakup song, only LaBeija says he\u2019s breaking up with the version of himself he no longer wants to be \u2014 not a significant other. \u201cPurging is not a linear process,\u201d he wrote on Instagram<\/u><\/a>, announcing this comeback. \u201cWhy not find beauty in the pain of letting go of the person you were to become the person you\u2019re destined to be?\u201d <\/p>\n
